2017 KITCHEN TRENDS

2017 has well and truly arrived.  It is time to look at the top trends predicted for 2017.  So whether you are looking for the latest cutting edge design or simply would like to make sure you are staying on top of the latest with your new design, it is wise to keep up to date with emerging and enduring trends.  

1.       HIDDEN OR INTEGRATED APPLIANCES

It is becoming increasingly popular to integrate appliances in the design of you kitchen to create a sense of flow and cohesion.  You don’t want the appliances such as fridges and microwaves to dominate the aesthetic of your kitchen and make it look cluttered and busy.  Appliances will be part of the cabinetry, blending into the kitchen.

2.       PARED-BACK COLOUR PALETTE

A pared-back colour palette allows your kitchen to always sit comfortably within the interior style of your home.  Open shelving helps ensure you can add your own personal style and can be changed to suit.

3.       MAKING BETTER USE OF SMALL SPACES

If designed properly, the size of your kitchen shouldn’t matter.  Consideration needs to be given to placement of appliances, lighting and storage capacity.

4.       FLOWERS & GREENERY

Beautiful flowers and large leafy plants is the perfect way to bring the outdoors inside.  Internal vegetable gardens will also be seen in many modern kitchens.
